How does one respond when the Commander in Chief of the world’s most powerful military declares, in relation to his country’s war against Iran, “A whole civilisation will die tonight, never to be brought back again”? *
Those among us who champion Peace above grotesque war, but who carry no arms, cannot extinguish such genocidal threats, which are powered by arsenals of demonic magnitude.
My new novel, “The Glass Island” examines rampant tyranny and fascism. It looks at the blazing furnace of the corrupted human heart, from which such terrifying threats are blasted. It converses with the un-weaponised upholders of Profound Peace, seeking a way of healing all that which is malignantly cruel within the human repertoire.
This novel, saturated with the words of poets and imbued with expressions of grace and integrity, presents a stance against the escalating and unbridled tyranny of our times.
